Thanks so much for this great report. I was buemmd not to be able to attend the meeting, and wondered how it had gone.The 7.5 km idea really caught my eye (maybe because that's about the length of my commute), as did the Don'ts slide you picture at the end. There's real wisdom in there especially about not overestimating the opposition, and not slamming decision-makers. I think it can be important to let decision-makers know you're paying attention and want them to hold up their end of things; but you don't want to leave them feeling like all you ever notice are the problems. We have a lot of positive developments in Waterloo Region (at all government levels) for which it's worth giving props to elected representatives and staff.Anyhow, thanks again; it sounds like it was a really energizing and optimistic event.
